Paramore - Brick By Boring Brick
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL VIDEOO!!!! Yet, so incredibly morbid. I love how they contradict. and I love warm colours wheee! Thought this video deserves a post :)
If you dont like Paramore just mute it and watch the video because its just sooooooo prettyyyyyyyyyyyy. But listening to the lyrics helps a lot, cause its tied with the video. ehheh.
How gorgeous is Hayley in this video man? Seriously.
Kinda reminds you of Alice in Wonderland, eh? Except its way less animated-looking.

- I dunno why I say the word "gay or not?" in this post a lot. Its not like I'm saying it a lot, if not at all, in real life!

I still hope that you will miss me when I'm gone, this is the last song.
100th post! Woooh. Almost a year since I started blogging on blogger. Am I not blogging enough? Since there's 365 days a year and this is only my 100th post haha.
Anyway. Enough with the Math. Yesterday was the happiest day of my year so far.
Last night's AAR gig couldn't have been more perfect. Aaaah!!
Perfect setlist, perfect crowd, perfect weather, everything was just perfect la. Too bad the phonelines werent perfect or else I could have called Shulsy and Laursy while our Pants Anthem "The Last Song" was being played live!
Anyways! I got my pair of tickets from my sister's friend David, so many many many HUUGE kudos goes to him and my sister for being able to score a pair of tickets for me teehee.
I headed over to Vic's house at 4.30pm and we hopped into Alvin's car with Julia and Christine inside and headed off to Bukit Jalil Carpark A! I had burnt AAR CDs so we were listening to em in the car :D We reached there at about what.. 5.45pm? Doors konnonnya open at 6pm so we just walked to the venue slowly haha. Since when were gigs on time anyway? Ate some ramly burger nearby to store some energy in us, and lined up to enter the carpark! Camwhored while waiting in line of course :)The girls! Debbie, Julia and Christine :)
Pass or fail? I chose my guitar shirt just because its pretty 'rocker' lol. After lining up for what felt like 2 hours, WE FINALLY GOT IN.
The first 3 Malaysian bands performed like about 4 or 5 songs each. Disagree, Pop Shuvit and One Buck Short. I was really pumped for Disagree at first, because they're the Malaysian band i'm most familiar with, and, no offence intended, but once they were done I really just wanted AAR to come out. So you could imagine how un-pumped we all were when Pop Shuvit and One Buck Short came out, but still layan sikit la. Support your local music scene la kan? (attempts to sound malay haha)
After One Buck Short was done (their set was pretty cool cause they had guest stars from lotsa malaysian bands to perform with them, as their lead vocalist is in the hospital. But it was also a bit fail because i'm gonna assume they didnt rehearse much? They were out of sync a lot and just.. i dunno. Not much chemistry.), we had to wait for an hour for AAR to come out because they werent done sound-checking.
That hour. took. forever.
Seriously. The crowd was getting restless, and what made things worse was that they kept playing the same Universal Studios Ad on the big screens which got annoying after the 10th time watching it. Then they finally stopped playing that ad, and started playing music.
After one song, the music stopped. We thought they'd play another song, but instead, we heard the familliar drum beat to AAR's Move Along.
The crowd. Went. ECSTATIC.
Seriously, everyone (including myself) were shouting and screaming and jumping! I was just so happy! THEY FINALLY CAME OUT, firstly, and also I really wanted to hear Move Along live because they didnt play it when they were here a month and a half ago for MTV World Stage, and when they did last night, ohmygod, I was just so happy.
After that, Tyson kept greeting us and calling us sexy and awesome which was .. well, pretty awesome ahahah. I kept grinning :D They played Fallin' Apart and after that, he made us all shout "dirty, dirty little.... finish that sentence :D" and the whole crowd yelled "DIRTY LITTLE SECREEEEEET" and that familliar guitar riff came on and again, we all went wild! Screaming and singing along and dancing and jumping, it was a massive karaoke session haha.
After that, Julia and I heard that familiar keyboard tune and Julia just kept screaming! They were gonna play Swing Swing! Julia's favourite song haha, she wanted that song to be played so badly. We all did la ^_^
After Swing Swing, Tyson kept commenting about everyone's halloween costumes.
"Oh cool a Jason mask! Thats sweet"
"There, I see a witch. Owait... That's a wizard, not a witch! Sorry sir."
"You guys are fuc... crazy"
and then he goes back to his mic, and sings "please just dont PLAY WITH ME" *guitar*
Julia and I.. we just screamed. SCREAAAAAAAAAAMED.
It was My Paper Heart!! THE song I never thought I'd get to hear live ever! And they played it, oh God, I was seriously so close to tears of joy, and I'm not exaggerating this time. Seriously. I just sang my heart out, jumped, screamed with julia, sang to her "SO BOTTLE UP OLD LOVE, AND THROW IT OUT TO SEA" and just didnt care about what the other people in the crowd were doing. They were hating us, obviously, because we were the only ones singing loudly, acting like maniacs and screaming haha. But I honestly didnt care. I was so high on music.
Julia and I kept saying to each other "i cant believe they're playing my paper heart MY PAPER HEART!!!!" hahaha. Utter fangirls, we are. I tried giving Shu Ling and Lauranne a call but tak bleh, no idea why. Phone lines were probably jammed because there was an estimated 15k people there that day.
After that, they played a crowd favourite, I Wanna. We all sang and jumped but I was still pretty high from My Paper Heart aha.
After that, they tuned down a bit and played the lovely Mona Lisa, with Nick on acoustic and Tyson among the crowd, singing to the fans and rubbing his glitter on them. Not kidding.
This was when I realised that I have a VERY soft spot for a guy who can play the acoustic guitar well. Seriously. I was just so... drawn to him. Then again, the song is also pretty beautiful. You can sit beside me when the world comes down. Come on, thats just really sweet.
After that they played Real World, It Ends Tonight, and Damn Girl.
Then, Tyson was doing more stage banter and Julia said she thought she heard the intro to The Last Song, you know? The keyboardy part? But I'm like "heh? no lah where got." and then I heard Tyson say "the last..." and I lost my breath, and grabbed hold of Julia's arm, but instead of her arm I got her yellow clappy thing instead haha. BUT ANYWAY, my point was, I was just.. stunned. Could it be?
And then I heard it. The keyboardy bit. The Last Song.
I just lost myself.
Screaming, yelling and shouting "OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD THE LAST SONG THE LAST SONG AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I CANT BELIEVE THEY'RE PLAYING THIS SONG I CANT BELIEVE IT!!" with Julia! I even accidentally hit this girl's head with my elbow. I just lost myself la really.
Seriously, Julia, if you're reading this, Thank God you were there to scream with me ahhaha. Or more like, to initiate the screaming so that I wont feel so malu to scream by myself haha! This was the first time I've ever had a screaming fangirl fit. It felt good hahahaa. Once again I tried calling Shulsy and Laursy but still cannot :( this is our anthem.
After that it was the encore, and they played The Wind Blows and ended the night with Gives You Hell.
And it was over after that.
Here's the complete setlist:
1. Move Along
2. Fallin' Apart
3. Dirty Little Secret
4. Swing Swing
5. My Paper Heart
6. I Wanna
7. Mona Lisa
8. Real World
9. It Ends Tonight
10. Damn Girl
11. The Last Song
Encore
12. The Wind Blows
13. Gives You Hell
We all had some mamak at Williams after that with Zec and Yin Mun :) Christine mentioned downloading House Bunny, and then I remembered that our dear ol' Tyson Ritter was in House Bunny! ahaha so we all decided to watch that show at Vic's house. Just to perve on Tyson just a lil' bit more hahha. He was so cute.
Once the clock hit 3am we all went back home, because the only people left awake watching the show was Zec and I. The rest were already sleeping on the couch/floor :p
Sigh, I love live music la. Cant believe I've seen AAR twice in 3 months. That hardly ever happens when you're in Asia, watching a band more than once on the same tour haha. I'm so happy <3>

Heavy wordy post about my driving exam :D
God was so good to me today. :) Srsly. Praise God for His mercy haha.
I had my driving exam today! Whoaaa so fast I know right? Its sad how I didnt really blog much about my driving lessons because I know that in a few years time, reading back upon it is gonna be HILARIOUS.
I vaguely remember almost hitting a man, almost hitting a pole, and then in the next lesson I actually hit a pole while leaving side parking area no. 2, because those poles were so damn narrow and I didnt steer fast enough ahahah. kept giggling to myself. But after that I got the hang of it :D I'm still super clueless as to how to park IN REAL LIFE (ie without those poles) and how to drive in a roundabout without getting hit and dying.
Anyways! I wanted to blog about my exam in extreme detail. haha.
Firstly, woke up got ready and Mr Fung my instructor picked me up at 7am. He picked a bunch of other people up and we eventually reached the centre at 7.45am-ish. Waited for the receptionist give us our numbers (I was number 2. I know right. so effing early) and for the JPJ people to give us our instructions and so that we can give them our ICs and L licenses.
After that, they called out the numbers to line up at the little hut to sit for our circuit exam.
I was number 2, so I drove the second car. Which was a really old car. like, ohmygod srsly damn old.
It didnt have that tachometer which I heavily depended on when i'm on the slope!!
And the hand break didnt have its little knob thing, because it broke off. I have no idea how or what can break off that tiny little knob, but oh man it broke off.
And the clutch, oh man, when I had to drive my car from its position to the white line, I almost stalled cause it was so sensitive and yet extremely unsensitive at the same time, do you get it? I have to lift it up a whole lot before the car can actually move, and yet once it reaches that 'lifted' state if I lift it too quickly I'll stall, which almost happened.
But anyway, thanks to that almost stalling incident, I kinda knew how gay the clutch was so I adjusted my legs to it! hahaha. Though I was honestly, very scared I was going to fail because my car was so fail. I was like... shaking. and almost teared up. because I was THAT nervous.
But I didnt fail! :D I passed my slope, my side parking was a bit wonky cause I dunno whats wrong but I didnt park completely IN the white box, so i reversed and went straight a bit more. The instructor was nice enough to stand nearby and say I parked well before I headed off to the 3-point turn, which was something I have been practicing since my first driving class so it was alright :)
After that, I thought I had to wait a bit until my road test but noooooo after I gave my form to the lady, she said "ok kereta awak nombor 7". In my head i'm thinking "F*CK SO FAST? ooooooooooooohmygosh"
So I went in the car, it was a new car so I was pretty thankful for that, gave the dude the form, I asked him about the form that I was supposed to keep and he told me to keep it in a nice way, so I sorta knew I wasnt having a bitchy instructor :D. I put the bag at the back seat, adjusted my seat, adjusted the side mirrors and front mirror, the instructor was nice enough to wind down his window for me, I heard the bitchy lady instructor wouldnt do it for you. Anyway, I checked the wipers and then the signals, teehee. Cause I'm kiasu like that, I got marks for that too.
Then at the "berhenti" sign, I had to stop, and there's like a little hill there where you are required to use the handbreak right? I did that and.. MATI ENGINE! Like for the first time since I started learning to drive. Omg man, omg. I was like "oh shht" and then I started the car again and went up.
Stalling that car actually helped a lot, cause at least then I sorta knew what kind of car I was dealing with. You learn from your mistakes right?
So yeah, at the junction where you were supposed to turn out in to the main road from the centre, there were no cars coming my way except for this huge massive learner's truck that was gonna turn into the centre, I didnt know whether to go first and let him go first, so I just sat there. The truck gave a little honk and my tester was like "boleh la, pergi". So I went! Luckily he told me to, srsly. haha. I would've just stayed there, and possibly die.
Anyway! He told me to take Route 2, which was the shorter one, which I am very thankful for. And most of the traffic lights were on the verge of turning green as I was approaching it so I really didnt stop my car except for the first major traffic light at the bridge above to Federal Highway. Am I lucky? Hell yeah. and I'm so thankful for it, especially after that crappy car I got for my circuit.
with 18/20 for my road test. Probably lost those 2 marks from stalling at the stop sign hahahaha. I still find that so funny.
The other Mr Fung student that sat for my driving exam as well failed her road test :( Poor girl. After she was done, I went back home while Mr Fung was waiting outside my house for me to pass to him my convict-looking passport photo. Meaning I'm gonna get my P soon woot!
I had the whole day to myself after that, since I took the day off from work today.
WORK?? whaaat? Yeah thats right, I'm working now!
Started working at La Senza, 1 Utama last Monday. First 2 days of work were awful cause I had some gastric, so I asked for a day off on Wednesday to heal up and on Thursday onwards I was all fine and dandy! Didnt work on Saturday because the full-timers already "chup" their full working hours for TRIPLE pay. Shit man ahhaha I also want.
But its back to work tomorrow! I forgot what shift I had to work tomorrow so when Victor and I headed to 1 utama today to run some errands, I went to check. hahaha. They must think I'm like damn free.
Then after Victor bought his beanie from Topman, we headed over to Cats Whiskers Bangsar to visit Julia at her first day of work! :D Went back home after that.
I'm just going to stop this post abruptly, cause its fun that way :)
Back to work tomorrow! Hopefully I can get the morning shift this Sunday so that I can watch the Man U. vs Liverpool match ahahhaha. Gonna be epic. I hope Gerrard and Torres heal up or else Liverpool are gonna get so owned :(
---------------------------------------------------
OH ALSO. omg I cant believe I forgot to mention this, but since its today,
being 'lala' for funsies. You know how much I hate this picture. I published it for you and only you because its your birthday. FEEL THE LOVE!From your 18th birthday last year! :D
I'm too brain dead to think of anything sappy and mushy but just know that I love you and miss you and cant wait for you to get back!! and really, if I were given the chance to study at Melbourne, I'd be your roommate in a heartbeat! ^_^
Hope you had a great birthday! Aiya I know you already did ;)

(500) Days of Summer
Too bad we dont have all 4 seasons here. /lame
Anyway!
- woke up at 1
- lazed around until 3
- ran some errands til 5
- went online til 7
- got stuck in the jam til 8
- watched 500 days of summer til.. errr... 11?
- mamak til 1
Its my second time watching (500) Days of Summer today btw.
I watched it last Friday too, with Victor, Julia and her ADP friends Eka, Ernie and Aaron. Today I watched it with Victor (again), Cheryl and Clement! :)

I really really really like this movie. What can I say?
Great acting + OMG great soundtrack = Great movie.
If you havent seen it yet, you should. Like. Now.
Its not a love story, they already said that in the trailer and its true. But what really gets me is the lovey dovey happy parts between Tom and Summer. They're such cute moments, and they're so funny too, it just makes me feel sooo happy :)
But like the trailer says, this is not a love story. Its.. (click more for more! spoilers included, I should warn you :O)
... pretty much a slap in the face for Tom and for us. The way it ended. Who woulda thunk it? I for one never thought she'd marry a guy THAT soon after they broke up. Did you?
We think that the relationship is going so well and its gonna last forever, we kinda fail to see whats wrong with it. ESPECIALLY when we look back and ponder over it. I can totally relate to that.

Also, this one really hit home for me, just because someone has the same interests as you doesnt mean its.. you know, gonna last. Like look at Tom and Summer, they both had same interests and taste in music, and look what happened in the end! Its just superficial. I gotta remind myself that, despite how much it matters to me.
But then again, Summer married a guy who commented on her reading The Picture of Dorian Gray right? so maybe there is hope? Or maybe the moral of that story is.. you just never know what life is gonna give you.
If you find your Summer and it doesnt work out for you, you can always find yourself an Autumn :)
My favourite scenes in the movie? The Ikea part, and the dancing in the streets part. Its just so.. cute, so feel good! I love it love it love love aaargh. Favourite things about the movie? How incredibly BEAUTIFUL all the scenes were shot! Like srsly, lotsa use of fairy lights and warm and cool colours and angles and whatnot. Its so beautiful. I feel like as if I'm watching this film from someone's flickr account. It has a very artistic feel to it, which I love. Also, the soundtrack. Oh lordy lord, the soundtrack is soo good. A heavy mix of Indie and Oldies music, but not the weird kind of indie, but a nice kind of indie! and a nice kind of oldies too :)
My favourite quote? No its not from Tom, nor is it from Summer. Its actually from Paul.
"Robyn is better than my dream girl, why? Because Robyn is real"
And another one, from Vance.
"Roses are red, violets are blue. Fuck you, whore"
AHAHHAHA. Its super inappropriate but I found that SOOO funny! I lol-ed hard at that hahaha. Its just the way he said it. Its so.. i dunno la. Its just so funny!
Ohhh man I major "aww"-ed at that. I'm sooo gonna buy the dvd. Stupid Malaysia censored quite a bit, especially the 'penis' part. I want to know what was that all about! Looks like a funny moment :)

Ranty ranty.
Hai der.
I started driving classes already btw, did I fail to mention that here? No? Yes? Well, oops.
Today was my 4th lesson and... I WOKE UP LATE! AHAHHA. I overslept, and woke up to my instructor calling me this morning saying he's outside my house already. He sounded pretty frustrated on the phone cause he didnt use his words, just lotsa grunts and "aah"s. oops. My bad. Epic fail, Debbie.
Anyway! I almost hit the pole today while getting out of the side parking area. Its so frickin narrow and I always accelerate too quickly and the damn non-power steering wheel is hard to turn quickly with my weak feeble arms!! I really hate side parking. I have no idea how i'm gonna be able to do it in real life without those poles, seriously.
But I didnt hit any senior citizens (ALMOST DID TODAY AHHAHAHA) or children so its okay :) Today was just a really bad lesson day. Started off badly and was just.. pretty bad. I'm soooo rusty now ugh.
Anyhoos, I promised Shulsy that I was gonna call JPA today to ask about their scholarships (I keep procrastinating on it, sorry), and I called them today and they keep transferring me to this number and that number! "oh you kena panggil nombor ni la". Soo many times. chibai give just me the right number already! I had no idea they had so many numbers and extensions? I thought there's just one main number, and they'll transfer the call there, but noooo I have to call another number a zillion times. And they only pick up after the 100th ring. True story.
and did I mention my bm is super rusty? haha. They only answer back in malay and i have to like "hah?" ask them to repeat and wait for my brain to slowly translate whatever they're saying, then i have to translate my thoughts into bm and answer them. yeah.
Oh okay, I'm actually calling them right now, and they finally answered, and OMG they talk so fast in BM in such high class BM words that my feeble brain cant understand. Sigh. But I got the basic gist of it, of what I wanted to ask. So.. yeah, bad news.
sigh. life kinda suxorzz.
Also, am I the only one who secretly thinks that all these 'advertisement ooh aah earn money via twitter!' tweets are very very annoying? srsly. thats not an advertisement to me, thats just spam.
I'm such an annoying complaining whiny emo kid in this post ahahahahah sorry! This is what sleep deprivation does to me. It gives me blogging mojo but I sound so annoying its not really nice anymore haha.

The old switch-a-roo!
I'm sure most of you who follow Muse on twitter or facebook would have seen this video already, but those of you who havent!
Spot the difference? ahahahha. The subtitles really helps too, with the interview bit, because Dom refers to Matt as his drummer hahaha.
And how hot is Dom as the new frontman man? Seriously! I think I'm inlove again <3 teehee.
Gotta love Muse and their pride for their live music.
Anyhoo, I PROMISE I'LL BLOG ABOUT THAILAND SOON LOL.
